Critics Review

Redefining the Modern Military is an earnest exploration of what constitutes professionalism in the American military, how it is affected by long wars, technological and societal changes, and an appeal for critical thinking about failures both operational and ethical. I especially relished the chapters that wrestled with when and why to break the rules of the military profession.“ - Kori N. Schake, Director of Foreign and Defense Policy Studies, American Enterprise Institute
