Critics Review

Kinesiology for Manual Therapies is more than a textbook; it is a map for an engaging learning experience. It bridges science with art, anatomy with functionality, and learning with application. – Whitney Lowe, author of Orthopedic Assessment in Massage TherapyKinesiology for Manual Therapists represents over a hundred years of learning and teaching by its esteemed authors. The information is eminently practical, grounded in years of teaching and therapeutic practice. It is one of the greatest resources in the field. It is needed not only within the realm of massage therapy but as well by everyone who is a committed healthcare practitioner. I recommend it 110%! – David Lauterstein, author of The Memory Palace of BonesKinesiology for Manual Therapies is a very informative text I use for my Massage Courses at the Carteret Community College in Morehead City, NC. This well-organized text has a comprehensive, practical flow as each science chapter describes bones, joints, muscles, nerves, and movement. The illustrations and pictures of massage techniques provide an easy reference for students. I encourage instructors and students to obtain and read this book! – Richard Sager, Massage Therapist, teacher in Massage and Science, Biomechanic Specialist and Reiki MasterI know from experience that it is easier to write about ideas than it is to weave those ideas into user-friendly practical application. Nancy Dail, Tim Agnew, and RT Floyd have done a beautiful job of it with this foundational text. I especially appreciate the section on neuromuscular fundamentals, which is unusually clear, concise, and friendly. It is a pleasure to wholeheartedly recommend this valuable text. – Ruth Werner BCTMB, retired massage therapist, educator, and author of A Massage Therapist’s Guide to PathologyWhat a relevant piece of work for all manual therapists whether they are beginning or advancing their journey educationally, or looking for a table side reference for educating patients. It now resides in my office for my own continued growth in knowledge and to support my patients! * Lori Ann Lizewski Glass, CMT, Colorado, USA *
