Professor Mohamed Shahin

Professor Mohamed Shahin is a Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at Curtin University, Australia. He holds a BSc and MSc from Cairo University (Egypt) and a PhD from the University of Adelaide (Australia). With over 25 years of academic and industrial experience, his research interests encompass Computational Geomechanics, Ground Improvement, and Railway Track Geo-technology.

Professor Shahin currently serves as an Editor and Associate Editor for several international journals, including Geosciences, Georisk, Geotechnical and Geological Engineering, and Frontiers in Built Environment. He is also a Board Member of several societies, such as the Australian Geomechanics Society and the American Society of Civil Engineers (Australia Section). Furthermore, he is an Elected Fellow Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Engineers Australia.

Dr. Rodaina Aboul Hosn

Dr. Rodaina Aboul Hosn is an academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in both academia and industry. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at the Australian University (Kuwait) and an Adjunct Research Fellow at Curtin University (Australia). She earned her BSc in Civil Engineering from the Lebanese University in Beirut (Lebanon), her MSc in Geotechnical Engineering from Lille 1 University, Science and Technology (France), and her PhD in Materials, Mechanics and Civil Engineering from Grenoble Alpes University (France).

Driven by a commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the construction industry, Dr. Rodaina Aboul Hosn is also the Founder and CEO of ConstrucTech Services, based in Dubai.
