Summary

The Lost Kingdom: Unearthing the Treasures of Assyria

The Conquest of Assyria recounts a captivating story of archaeological pursuit. For over two millennia, the grand cities and ancient palaces of Mesopotamia remained hidden beneath the sands of time, fading into distant memory through fragments in the Hebrew Bible and Classical writings. This book chronicles the remarkable discoveries, the cracking of the cuneiform code, and the revival of a forgotten civilization.
