Michelle Harrison grew up in Essex and is the youngest of three sisters. Her first novel, The Thirteen Treasures, won the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. David worked as a commercial illustrator before falling into children’s publishing in 2006, illustrating Andy Stanton’s Mr Gum series which went on to win numerous awards, including the first Roald Dahl Funny Prize in 2008. He has illustrated many children’s books since, including Eleanor’s Eyebrows, You Can’t Take An Elephant On The Bus, The Truth According to Arthur, The Pet, Donut Diaries, Circus Of Thieves and Einstein the Penguin.
