About the Author
Michaela Morgan has been a writer since childhood. Her many books include fiction and non-fiction for children, as well as poetry, and her poems appear in multiple classic anthologies. She is the author, with Liz Brownlee and Jan Dean, of CLiPPA-shortlisted Reaching the Stars: poems about extraordinary women and girls, and she edited and contributed to Wonderland: Alice in Poetry. She is much in demand for her readings and workshops, which encourage children to make and perform their own poems. Michaela lives in Brighton and Edinburgh.
Nick Sharratt is illustrator of almost 300 books as well as being an author in his own right. He studied Illustration at Manchester Polytechnic and Graphic Design at St Martin's School of Art in London. Authors he has worked with include Julia Donaldson, Michael Rosen, and Dame Jacqueline Wilson. He has been official illustrator for World Book Day, and with Katrina Charman won the 2021 BookTrust Storytime Prize. In 2022 he was named BookTrust's Writer-Illustrator in residence. Nick lives in Brighton, Sussex.
