–School Library Journal“Together, the child and father paint signs of welcome in English and Spanish that go up in a community garden, jubilantly defiant in the face of xenophobic hate.”
–Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books“This reflective, character-driven picture book…explores the many things grown-up hands can do through the eyes of a child.”
–Booklist
