Mel Brown
Melinda Brown is a Ngunnawal woman residing in the Northern Rivers Bundjalung Nation. She holds a Master’s degree in Indigenous Healing and Trauma. Mel embraced her clairvoyant skills many years ago, embarking on a journey to understand that her spiritual beliefs were not limited to her Aboriginal culture but encompassed diverse beliefs from across the world.
Mel uniquely highlights that spirituality is an individual possession, not defined by labels or confined to a singular understanding of life and creation. She posits that as human beings, our spiritual needs are often unmet by one belief system alone.
As a professional Speaker and Trainer, Mel is recognized internationally for her expertise in Aboriginal cultural competency and lateral violence.
Mel’s work in service provision for Aboriginal families has been acknowledged with an ACT Public Service Award for “Most Improved Services to Aboriginal Children and Families in the ACT,” presented by the ACT Chief Minister. In 2011, NSW Industry & Investment recognized Mel as one of the top three Aboriginal businesswomen in NSW.
