About the Author
Matthew Cordell personally knows what it's like to wish. In fact, this book is the heartfelt windfall of him waiting for his wish come true a second time. Matthew has illustrated many books for children including Special Delivery by Philip C. Stead, Bob, Not Bob! by Liz Garton Scanlon and Audrey Vernick, as well as several he has written himself, like Caldecott Medal winner Wolf in the Snow, New York Times Notable Best Picture Book hello! hello!, Another Brother, and Dream, a companion to Wish.
