Maryann Cusimano Love
Maryann Cusimano Love has been working with children since she was a teen-as a clown, storyteller, singer, puppeteer, and caregiver. Her You Are My … books arose out of her work with children. In addition to writing children’s books, she is a much sought-after speaker who once addressed the United Nations, by invitation of the Vatican, on the role of religion and peace in modern societies. Dr. Cusimano Love lives on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland with her husband, Rich, and their three children, Maria, Ricky, and Ava Rose.
Satomi Ichikawa is known the world over as a celebrated illustrator and an accomplished storyteller. The illustrator of the Tanya and Nora books and the You Are My … series, Ms. Ichikawa has created over twenty of her own books for young people, including Come Fly with Me and I Am Pangoo the Penguin. Ms. Ichikawa sketches and paints out of her Paris apartment, often using her trunk full of stuffed animals as inspiration.
