Cows seem to believe the adage, "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." All their needs are perfectly met on their side and yet they seem to love finding a way out. And never let cows fool you! They are savvy at knowing just the right time to escape, making sure their shenanigans cause a brouhaha. Maybe we will see some of our own choices in the choices of cows. Mary Fichtner grew up in the Western lifestyle with horses which gave her a bold Western identity. Rodeo was her sport from 10 years old through college. She is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and her cowgirl spirit has grown stronger through life experiences and living in the cowboy state. The strong roots of the Western lifestyle and horses gave her the character to manage the challenges and change required for a military wife and mother of four. She believes the importance of reading and counting blessings cannot be overstated and one of the best ways to do it is through beautiful picture books with powerful messages. Roslan shares her gifts through bright and brilliant watercolor illustrations. The drawings and painting come easy to her as they reflect the written words she paints and believes in the positive messages that are shared in the stories she illustrates.
