What They're Saying
Critics Review
This is such an important book and really brings home what it’s like to live with FND. It gives a great understanding of FND to people who aren’t aware of the impact it has. – Lorraine Kelly CBE - FND Hope UK PatronThe mind-body connection has fascinated philosophers and neuroscientists for centuries, but its dysfunction has serious consequences which have generally been ignored by the medical community. This landmark book convincingly demonstrates that people with functional neurological disorders desperately need understanding, support, and effective therapies. – Steven Schachter, MDBrilliantly written, this book brings the experiences of people living with and recovering from FND onto center stage. A highly recommended read for those living with FND, their family and supports, healthcare providers, and all interested in the nuanced brain-mind-body interplay. – David L. Perez MD, MMSc Associate Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical SchoolEveryone’s FND story is unique and highlights the impact it can have on those diagnosed and their friends/family.
