About The Author
Mark Roberts
Mark Roberts has a degree in English Language and Literature from Magdalen College, Oxford. From 1977 he worked for forty years at the British Institute of Florence, first as librarian and then as organiser of the cultural programme. He classified Harold Acton’s papers at Villa La Pietra for New York University. He has translated many books and articles, mostly on art history, for Italian publishers.
