About The Author

Mark Millar

Mark Millar is a New York Times best-selling author, Hollywood producer, and president of his own division at Netflix. He sold his publishing company to Netflix in 2017 and signed on to exclusively create new comics, TV series, and movies in-house as a senior executive.

Adaptations of Jupiter’s Legacy, Supercrooks (as a Japanese anime), and American Jesus (as The Chosen One) have been released. The Magic Order, Reborn, Sharkey the Bounty Hunter, Prodigy, King of Spies, Empress, MPH, Huck, and a live-action Supercrooks are currently in development.

Previously, Mark worked at Marvel Comics, where he created The Ultimates, which Time magazine selected as the comic book of the decade and screenwriter Zak Penn cited as major inspiration for the movie The Avengers. Millar also created Wolverine: Old Man Logan, which inspired 20th Century Fox’s Logan, and Marvel’s Civil War, the basis for the third Captain America movie. Civil War remains Marvel’s biggest-selling graphic novel of all time, and his seminal Superman: Red Son is the highest-selling Superman graphic novel in history, also released as an animated feature in 2020.

Mark has served as an executive producer on all adaptations of his books and worked as a creative consultant to 20th Century Fox on their Marvel movie slate.
