Marius Gabriel is the author of numerous historical novels, including The German Girl, Goodnight Vienna, House of Many Rooms, The Mask of Time, The Original Sin, The Girls In The Attic, The Ocean Liner and The Parisians. His novel set in wartime Paris, The Designer, won the Romantic Novelists Association Prize for Historical Romance. Under the pseudonym Madeleine Ker, he wrote more than 30 romance novels in the 1980s.Gabriel is a former Shakespearean scholar who left his academic pursuits to become a full-time writer, but is also an artist and a musician.
