About The Author
Marin Golčić
Dr. Marin Golčić is a Medical Oncologist consultant associated with University Medical Hospital and Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka, Croatia, providing oncology education. With experience in the first Croatian Hospice, he obtained his PhD in 2019, published palliative care manuscripts, and is Chairperson of the Pharmacotherapy Committee. He participated in ESMO and ASCO Programmes, received an ESMO Palliative Care Fellowship in 2017, and completed a program in The Royal Marsden, UK. He published peer-reviewed scientific papers and serves as a scientific reviewer for various journals. Dr. Golcic also wrote a book chapter on Palliative and Hospice are in the Republic of Croatia.
Dr. Tomi Kovacsevity is a Palliative Medicine Specialist in Serbia since 2017, supporting cancer patients with supportive and palliative care. He works at the Institute for pulmonary diseases of Vojvodina in Serbia and is associated with Faculty of Medicine in University of Novi Sad, Serbia. He holds a PhD in Medical Science and completed an EUPCA leadership in Palliative Care (EQF 7). He serves on an Expert Committee for Palliative Care in Ministry of Health in the Republic of Serbia and is a consultant on European Training Academy EUTA in Belgrade, Serbia. Dr. Kovačević is educated in Palliative Medicine, Palliative Care Leadership, Applied Engineering in Health Management, and is involved in International Projects.
Professor Amir Radfar is an assistant professor in Medical Education in University of Central Florida, with Postgraduate education both in Oncology and Palliative Care. Professor Radfar is working as a Director of Research Services in Avicenna Medical and Clinical Research Institute and is a co-author and collaborator of the Global Burden of Disease Study. He functions as an institutional representative at International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care and is a board member of MEDICHEM. His editorial activities include serving as an academic editor for PLOS ONE, the Journal of Oncology and the Journal of Environmental and Publlic Health.
