Maria Mercedes Trujillo Arango is the author of Rock Point’s Meditative Mandala Stones kit. She is a self-taught illustrator-crafter from Bogota, Colombia, who now calls New Zealand home. Her artistic interests include drawing, painting, and embroidery.
In 2001, she developed an interest in mandalas, beginning to draw them and explore their history, psychology, and symbolism. Since 2011, she has combined her passion for mandalas with painting beautiful stones she collects.
