Critic Reviews

“"Brilliantly accessible and inspiring"”

“The kind of books that adults will covet and collect as well… The language and structure is simple enough for young readers, while a biographical timeline at the end of each book offers greater historical complexity” Irish Times
Best children’s books for spring - “Strikingly illustrated, they’re superb first biographies for younger readers.” The Huffington Post
'Sumptuously illustrated hardbacks, they take the life stories of famous women in history and retell them in a child-friendly way' Daily Mail
“Brilliantly accessible and inspiring”  Rhino Reads
“One children’s books series trying to fight back… by telling the inspiring stories of women who overcame adversity and made history by pursuing their childhood dreams." Toronto Star

"This delightful biography for young readers... As well as highlighting her achievements, the book quietly emphasises how wonderful the imagination can be, and how this can inspire others, too. This is shown even through the illustrations, as Agatha's creations spill out across the pages."

  Book Trust

About the Author

ISABEL SANCHEZ VERGARA, born in Barcelona, Spain, is a writer and creative director in constant search of new concepts for children's books. Working for more than fifteen years for clients in top advertising agencies, her books combine creativity with learning, aiming to establish a new and fresh relationship between children and pop culture.

ELISA MUNSO is a Fine Arts graduate from the University of Barcelona. Whilst there, she specialised in sculpture, and also studied illustration, props and scenery. She currently works, mainly drawing and designing, in her own studio-gallery The Flood in Barcelona. The small gallery self-publishes their booklets of travel and stories. Elisa combines work in the gallery with her own projects, by organising exhibitions of illustration, and presentations of fanzines, by individuals and collectives.
