Margaret Liu Collins

Margaret Liu Collins shares the Good News about God in every aspect of her life, from her family to her business, philanthropy, leadership, and testimony in her Christian community.

Born in Chongqing, China, she attended St. Stephen’s Girls College in Hong Kong and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley. After teaching science, she founded Liu Realty, Inc. and Liu International Management LLC.

Margaret has served as a director of nonprofit organizations including Grace Cathedral, The Episcopal Dioceses of Northern California, California Pacific Medical Center, The University of California Berkeley Foundation Board, and the San Francisco Symphony.

She established the “T. O. Liu Memorial Fellowship” in Helen Willis Neuroscience Institute at UC Berkeley in honor of her father and an undergraduate scholarship for students from single-parent families.

In 2016, she endowed a Chair Professorship in Traumatic Brain Injury to Geoffrey T. Manley, MD, PHD, at UCSF Weill Institute of Neurosciences.

In 2013, she co-authored a book about her father, A Twentieth-Century Chinese Profile Tien Oung Liu.

Margaret and her husband, Ted Collins, reside in San Francisco and Sonoma County and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
