Madeline Chu is Professor-Emerita of Chinese Language, Literature, and Culture at Kalamazoo College, Michigan. She has carried out a broad range of cultural and linguistic research, and was the third recipient of the prestigious A. Ronald Walton Award for Distinguished Contributions to the Field of Chinese Language Pedagogy.
