About The Author
Madeleine Campbell
Madeleine Campbell is a Veterinarian, a European Diplomate in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law and a clinical specialist in Equine Reproduction. In addition to her veterinary qualifications, Madeleine holds a MA in Medical Ethics and Law, was the first veterinarian ever to be awarded a Bioethics Fellowship by The Wellcome Trust. Madeleine is a past Chair of the British Veterinary Association’s Ethics and Welfare Group and a Past President of the British Equine Veterinary Association. She has acted as a member of the BBC’s Rural Affairs Committee and contributed to various working groups on ethical and animal welfare issues for government and for membership organisations. Madeleine sits on the Ethical Review Panels for a number of organisations. She currently teaches and researches Ethics and Human - Animal Interactions at The Royal Veterinary College, UK.
