Lynette Evans

Lynette Evans has written many books for children. She’s pretty nosy, so she loves finding clues and solving mysteries. She also loves surprises, so she had a lot of fun writing Whose Egg? Evans lives in New Zealand, home of the kiwi bird. For its size, the little kiwi lays one of the largest eggs of any bird on the planet. It is also the only bird that has nostrils at the end of its beak, but that’s another story!

Peter Millett

Peter Millett was born in New Zealand. He is the author of the Boy Zero Wannabe Hero Series that centers around the character Charlie Applejack. His title The Anzac Puppy made the New Zealand Best Seller List.

Deborah Hinde

Illustrations by Deborah Hinde have graced everything from cereal packaging to labels for a mushroom producer, magazines and tea towels, not to mention drink bottles and lunch boxes - and of course, books. She has illustrated more than 65 books, both fiction and non-fiction, for children and adults. Her first picture book, A Kiwi Night Before Christmas, is a New Zealand classic. Since then Deborah has illustrated another 34 picture books.

Deborah lives and works from her home-based studio in rural Waikato. She was born in England and her family moved to Auckland, New Zealand, in the 1960s.

Stevie Mahardhika

Born in Indonesia, Stevie moved to New Zealand to study and ever since settled there. He relishes the opportunity to draw for children’s books with a focus on animal characters whenever he can, and that’s why he got to draw many kiwis. He also like draw a lot of dogs as he wished to have one (or two) in the future. His work has been published in New Zealand, Australia, USA and Korea.
