What They're Saying

Critics Review

“This fine collection, edited by Illic and Lohrmann, skillfully reflects and honors Wengert’s commitment to an ecumenically grounded reformation scholarship anchored by heart of a pastor, centred on the preaching and teaching of the Gospel. An excellent resource!” –Gordon A. Jensen, William Hordern Professor of Theology, Lutheran Theological Seminary Saskatoon

“Here we find far more than a Festschrift as it presents us the latest and finest in Reformation research. And yet it certainly is a true Festschrift as it honors Timothy Wengert with just the same meticulous source work as he himself is famous for. This collection of essays is a lasting gift to the field of sixteenth century studies.” –Herman Selderhuis, Theological University Apeldoorn

“This is a superb volume of essays by a distinguished and international group of scholars. Its incisive and varied contributions stand as a testament to the breadth and impact of Wengert’s scholarship.” –Anna Marie Johnson, Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary
