What They're Saying
Critics Review
“Luc Kordas has made his home in New York City since 2014. It was the same year that he began a long-term project, ‘The New York Chronicles’, photographing across all the boroughs of New York City. The latest fruits of this visual storytelling endeavours are in his new book, New York Unseen.” - Digital Camera World“In the book… we get a fantastic look at those alternative viewpoints that you’re unlikely to find in your Lonely Planet or Rough guide. They’ve called the books ‘Unseen’ for a reason, because you’re far less likely to have already viewed the kinds of pictures taken within it.” - Amateur Photographer“How one photographer is bringing a fresh look at New York City.” - Metro UK“Taken over the course of several years, the mostly black-and-white images manage to tell stories more vividly than any number of photos of the Grand Central clock could - and mostly feature candid snaps of people on the city’s streets, parks and subways.” - Daily Mail“Like the first part of the Unseen series (London Unseen), by Kordas, New York Unseen is an authentic approach to the character of a world metropolis.” - Shadow + Light Magazine
About The Author
Luc Kordas
Luc Kordas lives and creates mostly between New York and Europe. His work celebrates timeless, everyday moments. Versatile in both colour and black and white, he often chooses the latter for his documentary and street work, seeing monochrome as a more powerful tool of expression. An avid traveller who is constantly on the road, he likes to merge his favourite genres of photography, moving freely between documentary, portraiture, travel and street photography.
