Crown House Publishing is delighted to announce that they are working closely with Eduqas to ensure endorsement of a new series of textbooks for modern foreign languages. The textbooks cover the reformed GCSEs for England, which will be taught from 2016 and awarded for the first time in 2018. These three new textbooks, covering the French, German and Spanish GCSE qualifications, have been designed in conjunction with examiners, specification developers and experienced teachers to support learners through the challenges of the new specifications.
Also forthcoming are teacher guides to accompany each textbook, providing guidance notes, answers, audio CD and listening transcripts for all activities in the student books. The teacher guides are complete with detailed planning information, as well as schemes of work for two and three year programmes of study.
Bethan McHugh is an experienced MFL teacher and has held numerous positions of responsibility during her career including head of year, head of Spanish, HE adviser and learning leader. She is currently a senior examiner of MFL GCSEs and a CPD presenter, as well as being an author of assessments and digital resources.Louise Pearce is an experienced teacher of French and has been a head of department. She has worked as a language teaching advisor with CILT Cymru, working with businesses and schools in business languages. She has had extensive experience as an examiner and as a CPD presenter.Chris Whittaker is an experienced teacher of German and French. He has been a head of department and has always sought innovative and engaging ways to improve teaching and learning. He currently runs First for Languages, which delivers a range of services to businesses, individuals, examination boards and schools.
