Summary
The World Is Round is a lively novel, which tells the story of Jean, a lovely and likeable Sydney woman with literary aspirations. First published in London in 1896 – before My Brilliant Career – the vitality and immediacy of this Australian classic are as startling and attractive as the charm and exuberance of the heroine’s personality. This tragicomic novel is witty, vibrant, and ultimately a powerful drama of a woman’s path to self-knowledge. Introduced by Nancy Phelan.
