Summary

Liz Kelly-Hunter
Liz Kelly-Hunter is a proud Nyul Nyul woman, born on Nyikana country in Derby. Liz and her husband Brian have three children, Alfie (deceased), Marla, and Henley, all born in Derby. Liz’s father worked at the Derby jetty, making it a cherished fishing spot for the family. She wrote this storybook for her grandchildren to remember their great-grandmother, their “Mummy Nan,” and to share her childhood memories of Derby.
Tony Thorne is a Trawlwoolway descendant from northeast Tasmania. Tony is an artist and animator. He graduated from the Tasmanian School of Art in 1984, and in 1998 he completed a masters in computer animation at the Australian Film Television & Radio School. In 2015, he became the director and designer of Australia’s first contemporary Indigenous children’s cartoon show, Little J & Big Cuz.
