About The Author
Lisa Porter
Lisa Porter is a self-taught artist and illustrator from Northampton, a small rural town in the wheat belt region of Western Australia. She has been drawing since she was old enough to hold a crayon, with early inspiration drawn from vintage children’s picture books featuring fantastical creatures and her older sibling’s comic books.
During the 1990s, Lisa worked as a freelance caricature artist and court hearing illustrator for a newspaper. She also gained popularity as a commissioned caricature artist during that decade.
An ongoing fascination for Lisa throughout her adult life has been esoteric literature. Her interests include the study of ancient pagan mysticism, mythology, archetypal allegories, ufology, and xenology. She is particularly interested in the timeless narratives of the living occult and their intrinsic connection to the psychology of the human mind, body, and soul.
Creating art has always been a significant part of Lisa’s life, with a never-ending creative passion for the human subject and its diverse character variables.
