About the Author

Linda delights in writing children's picture books with health and wellbeing themes that include a generous dose of fun. With training in both nutrition and Early Childhood Teaching, Linda's writing combines her health and educational knowledge with her love for picture books that capture children's interests while promoting good health and wellbeing. Linda continues ongoing study by regularly attending workshops to keep up to date with professional learning. Having worked in kindergarten classrooms for five years, Linda now works individually with children with disabilities, neurodivergence and delay using neuroaffirming play-based therapies. The insights Linda has gained through her work with families and young children are visible in her writing, with each book being tailored according to the children's interests. Children are drawn to the story by following their natural interests and the health or nutritional learning is cleverly embedded within the pages. While it's all just good fun as far as children are concerned, the stories are highly educational, and families and teachers can be assured the learning is firmly grounded in evidence-based practices. Complementary health and wellbeing tips are included at the end of every story.
