Linda K. Olson
Linda K. Olson, MD, FACR, is a triple amputee, physician, and motivational speaker whose story has been called one of the most remarkable accounts of resilience in American medicine. A Professor Emeritus of Radiology and former Director of Breast Imaging at UC San Diego, she built a thirty-year academic career after losing both legs and her right arm in a 1979 train accident. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2015, she is also a six-year board member of the World Parkinson Coalition and was keynote speaker at the 5th World Parkinson Congress in Kyoto. Dr. Olson lives in San Diego, CA.
