Mimi and the Gum Club are back in action! After a field trip to the town’s lighthouse, Mimi dreams of finding buried treasure, believing that somewhere beneath Periwinkle Tower there is a chest full of coins and jewels—and that it’s all for her. However, the spunky girl soon discovers that her selfish attitude is a costly thing to have. As for the other Gum Club members, Yoshi is leaving for the summer for a reading boot camp; Tonya is trying to find a room at the Periwinkle Tower so she can be closer to her friends; Boris is on a mission to find the best flavor of pudding; and for some reason Sofie is walking around with a bandaged leg, while lugging a suitcase. Linda Davick is the illustrator of several picture books, including We Love You, Rosie! by Cynthia Rylant; What Riley Wore by Elana K. Arnold; as well as her own Say Hello! and I Love You, Nose! I Love You, Toes!. She is also the author and illustrator of the Mimi’s World chapter book series. She lives near a nature preserve in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
