About The Author
Lauren Logan
Lauren Logan is a neurodivergent, disabled science fiction romance author from North Texas. After high school and junior college, she attended the University of North Texas and studied Psychology and History. She met her husband in 2008, married in 2010, and they now have two little boys. The family enjoys watching science programs about astronomy and keeping up with the latest Star Trek episodes.
In 2015, Lauren developed a passion for hair and began a journey that led her to hair school in her thirties. She specialized in vivid color and within a year and a half, she was nominated as a top 100 pastel colorist in the Behind The Chair global hair awards. Unfortunately, this recognition came after she was forced to quit her dream career as a vivid hair colorist due to her health.
In November 2020, Lauren was formally diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, an aggressive autoimmune disease that affects most of her major joints, hands, and feet. This has caused deformities in her fingers, making a return to her hair career impossible. She sometimes uses a cane, especially on rainy days, as the changing weather can trigger flare-ups. Since her diagnosis, she often spends much of her time in bed due to constant pain and fatigue. The medication she is prescribed leaves her immunocompromised and comes with difficult side effects.
Refusing to let her disability diminish her ambition and determination, Lauren began writing in April 2022. Within one year, she completed two full-length science fiction novels and is currently editing her third. Writing gives her hope, and being an author provides her with a future. She pours her experiences and passion into her stories, hoping readers will enjoy them as much as she does.
