Seven Summers Later was a delight to read. It had everything I love in a romance - second chances, forbidden love and a villa in Italy to make your heart sigh with happiness. From the very first chapter, I was torn between wanting to fly through this in one sitting and wanting to savour every chapter, it was that good. Ex-lovers with a complicated history stuck together in Italy already sets the stage for an enjoyable read, and while the romance is superbly well done, with ample angst, emotion, and tension, Rafi doesn’t stop there. She deftly explores other elements, such as healing from trauma, rediscovering yourself, and how it’s never too late for things to change for the better. An absolute knock-out.
