About The Author
Kirsty Everett
Kirsty Everett is a First Nations writer and a proud Darug woman currently residing on Dharawal country. She survived two bouts of cancer, aged nine and sixteen. Kirsty completed her HSC as well as a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Aboriginal Studies. In 2006, she received an award for Outstanding Voluntary Service from NSW Governor Marie Bashir. Kirsty has been a motivational and educational speaker since the age of fourteen. She continues to be an Ambassador for Kids Cancer.
