About The Author

Kimberly Nilsson

Kimberly Nilsson holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and is the author of It’s All Grace: How to Survive the Unexpected Suicide of a Loved One. For over a decade, she worked in the field of addiction as a recovery specialist. Though she is no longer in the field professionally, she has spent the past three decades passionately helping others maintain their sobriety, mental health, and cultivate a meaningful life.

She left her life behind to move to Switzerland and be with the love of her life, Nils, and his four children, eventually marrying him after a whirlwind romance. However, in 2011, her seemingly fairytale life came to an abrupt end when she discovered her beloved husband had died by suicide. Since then, she has drawn on her strength, training, and spiritual practices, and has become more educated about suicide and its ramifications for those left behind, to survive and flourish.

Committed to sobriety, helping others with their recovery, and her own spiritual journey, Kimberly now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is dedicated to raising awareness about addiction, mental health, and suicide prevention.

Trudy Goodman, PhD is the Founding Teacher of InsightLA. She is also the Guiding Teacher and co-founder of the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy in Cambridge, MA, where she maintained a private psychotherapy practice for 25 years. She teaches retreats and workshops worldwide.
