About The Author

Kevin Kiley

Kevin F. Kiley, retired Marine Corps artillery officer, is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and a veteran of the First Gulf War. An enthusiastic uniformologist, he has a masters degree in military history from Norwich University, and is the author of The Illustrated Encyclopedia of the Uniforms of the Roman World, along with being contributing author to other books on military history.

Professor Gabriele Esposito, consultant, is a well-known military historian and author of over 50 award-winning military history books. He is an expert of uniformology whose researches have analysed the organization, equipment and tactics of armies from the Sumerians to the wars of the modern world.
