About the Author

Kay Freeman spent most of her life in higher education, as a scholar who transitioned to helping other scholars realize their educational quest. She is a daughter, whose parents died when she was just starting her adult life, but they were so proud of all of her achievements, tenacity for success, and zest for life. Her only sister passed away from a brain tumor five weeks after her diagnosis. This book is dedicated to her sister, as she embraced life and was Kay's true friend and biggest supporter. Her sister's last words to Kay was for her to "live her life", and that is what Kay is doing each and every day.
