About The Author

Katherine Chow

Katherine Chow is a devoted mother of three, happily married to her husband, Josh. Born in Taiwan and raised in Singapore, Australia, and Texas, she is fluent in Mandarin. As a former elementary school teacher, she has a love for children’s literature and finds joy in creating storylines that spark interest and wonder in young readers. Writing this book has been especially close to her heart, since she began her musical journey at the young age of five. Katherine plays the piano, violin, and pipa. She was in orchestra throughout middle and high school, and she also eventually joined the Houston Youth Symphony. She now spends most of her days making concrete planters with her friend and business partner, Jane. As a self-proclaimed “crazy plant lady,” Katherine nurtures both her family and her greenery. She now resides in Colorado where she enjoys the sunshine and all the beauty of nature the state has to offer.

Jordan Eusebio is a Filipino-Chinese American artist in Los Angeles, California. When she’s not pushing pixels as a graphic designer, she’s illustrating silly shenanigans inspired by her interests such as art, music, the ocean, groan-worthy puns, and fantasy. In her work, she enjoys mashing together completely different concepts to create funny, whimsical, and weird works of art. Jordan’s life as a musician began at age five, when she started learning the piano, and expanded when she joined middle school band as a clarinetist. In high school, she switched to alto saxophone, which she played for marching, concert, and jazz bands. She decided to learn the cello and now plays with a local community college orchestra to keep that magic alive.
