Professor and General Atomics SmartState Chair for the Development Transformational Nuclear Technologies at the University of South Carolina, with a Joint Faculty Appointment at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. A Fellow of both ACerS and the American Nuclear Society, he has authored or co-authored over 250 publications and holds 8 patents.
