About The Author
Jung-mok
Jung-mok is one of the most influential senior Buddhist female monks in South Korea today. Ordained in 1976, she went on to serve as Buddhist chaplain at Seoul National University Hospital. In 1997, she founded the Small Love Foundation, which provides financial support to families of children battling cancer. In 1990, she began hosting a daily radio program with the Buddhist Broadcasting System which earned her the nickname ‘Bikkhuni DJ’ (Nun DJ) in Korea. She went on to found Una Broadcasting, a YouTube channel with nearly a quarter million subscribers. Many of her talks centre on healing, love, and wisdom, and are taught in a way that is accessible to people of all faiths. She is the author of several books which have become bestsellers in Korea, including The Snail is Slow but Never Late, The More You Empty Yourself, the More You Have, and Even Flowers Have to Make an Effort to Bloom.
