About the Author

Juliette MacIver is a Wellington-based author and mother of four. She majored in Linguistics at Victoria University and has a diploma in teaching English. Juliette is the author of a number of picture books and junior chapter books: her picture book Marmaduke Duck and the Marmalade Jam was a finalist at the 2011 NZ Post Children's Book Awards. Juliette's love of language is evident in her stories. Sarah Davis grew up in New Zealand. When she moved to Australia in 2004 she began working part time as a freelance illustrator, and since 2009 has been illustrating full time. Sarah has illustrated over 20 books for a number of publishers. She has illustrated several of Juliette MacIver's picture books, including the first two Marmaduke stories. Many of Sarah's books have been nominated for awards both here and in Australia. Sarah lives in Sydney with her three children, her mathematician husband, and assorted animals.
