In the aftermath of World War 2 the nation's leaders gathered and a treaty was signed, one that alters the borders between countries and recognizes only four. A company was also built in result of the war, a business that allows you to forget your troubling past and create your dream life. However, the art of remastering time is still flawed and there is no way to handpick what memories can be left. You keep or lose them all.
Now, it's 1998 and twenty-year-old screenplay writer, Emily Weiss, awakens from surgery to discover that her appearance has been altered, her lower half temporarily paralyzed, and every memory of her past has been erased. She attempts to navigate her new life from scratch with the help of her assigned Rebirth mentor, Miles, but the longer she lives through what she has created for herself the more it doesn't feel like hers at all. But rebirth doesn't make mistakes. Unless....
