AUTHOR: Joseph Piercy studied English and Philosophy at the University of Wolverhampton and holds a Master's degree in Creative Writing. He is the author of eleven books of non-fiction on a range of different subjects, but one of his main interests and areas of expertise is the social and cultural history of drinks. About the Author
Joseph Piercy was born in Brighton. After spending far too long at university studying Russian Literature and Creative Writing, Joseph embarked upon a journey which took him to various parts of the world in an honest attempt to avoid anything faintly resembling a proper job. He has enjoyed an occasional drink or two along the road.
