Jordan Salama
Jordan Salama is an American writer and journalist. A contributing writer at The New Yorker, his work covers themes of migration, culture, and environment in the Americas.
His first book, Every Day the River Changes, about a journey down Colombia’s Rio Magdalena and the people who live along its banks, was a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of 2021. Salama is also the author of the memoir Stranger in the Desert, a finalist for the Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature.
His work has appeared in National Geographic, The New York Times, and numerous other publications. He lives in Queens, New York.
