Jon Waldo
Born in 1957, Jon Waldo is a Manhattan-based artist recognized for his diverse artistic practice, which spans photography, ceramics, and a unique painting technique. He employs hand-cut stencils, crafted from line drawings of everyday objects, to create his distinctive paintings.
Waldo holds a BFA from Pratt Institute. His work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions, including presentations at The Linda Warren Gallery, Wave Hill, The LeRoy Neiman Gallery at Columbia University, PS122, Art Chicago Onsite Exhibition, La Mama La Galleria, and The Hopper House. His art has also been featured in publications such as The Architectural Digest, The New York Times, Brooklyn Rail, Art and Antiques, and the book “The Moment After: Postmodernism Art Finds a New Soul” (ARTicles National Arts Journalism Program, 2002).
