About The Author
John Fairley
John Fairley was a scholar of The Queens College, Oxford before working in Fleet Street and for BBC Radio. He was in at the start of Yorkshire Television in 1968, becoming Editor of Calendar, Head of Documentaries and, in 1990, Managing Director. He is a well known producer of spats and documentary programmes. He was co-author of The Monocled Mutineer the celebrated BBC TV series. His published works include a number of art-related titles, most recently Horses in The Great War. Married with three daughters, he lives at Norton, Yorkshire.
