About The Author
John Butler
John Butler OAM has worked as a geography teacher in both private and state schools in Australia, a curriculum developer, chief examiner and a director of school curriculum. He has also been a writer for more than 30 well-received and popular texts and websites. John has been awarded a life membership of the Geography Teachers’ Association of South Australia, an achievement award from AGTA, and has been made a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators. In 2006, he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his contribution to education, particularly in the field of Geography.
