John Buscema
Michael Fleisher was a writer known for his work at DC Comics during the 1970s and 1980s, particularly on the characters Spectre and Jonah Hex. He also authored three volumes of The Encyclopaedia of Comic Books Heroes.
Fleisher’s first published story, “Death at Castle Dunbar,” appeared in Secrets of Sinister House #5 in 1972. He went on to write for titles such as House of Mystery and House of Secrets. In the late 1970s, he scripted Shade, the Changing Man, and in the early 1980s, he contributed to the Batman mythos, notably writing the origin of The Penguin.
