About The Author
Johanna Knox
Johanna is of Ngāti Tukorehe and Ngāti Kahu ki Tauranga descent, with English, Scottish, and Irish ancestry. She lives on Te Atiawa land in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, where she works as a writer and editor.
In 2018, she completed an MA in creative writing at the IIML, and in 2019, a diploma in rongoa at Te Wānanga o Raukawa.
She is currently working on a PhD in creative writing, exploring journeys of reconnection with Māori whakapapa from a personal perspective. Her other books include Guardians of Aotearoa (Bateman Books, 2018) and Ethical Fashion (Rosen Young Adult, 2019).
