About The Author
Johanna Knox
Johanna is of Ngati Tukorehe and Ngati Kahu ki Tauranga descent. She also has English, Scottish and Irish ancestry. She lives on Te Atiawa land in Te Whanganui-a-Tara where she works as a writer and editor.
In 2018 she completed an MA in creative writing at the IIML and, in 2019, a diploma in rongoa at Te Wananga o Raukawa.
She’s currently working on a PhD in creative writing, exploring journeys of reconnection with Maori whakapapa from a personal perspective. Her other books include Guardians of Aotearoa (Bateman Books, 2018) and Ethical Fashion (Rosen Young Adult, 2019).
