Critics Review

“YA horror maestro Sutherland brings a new chiller to the scene with this heart-thumping, gory ghost story. It will keep readers on the edge of their seats and turning the pages well after sunset. For those who love a scary story, a thriller, or just a good old-fashioned jump scare, this is one to check out… . This fantastically thrilling ghost story will have readers flinching at all the little noises that go bump in the night. Selectors should pick up multiple copies, as this won’t stay on the shelves long.” —STARRED REVIEW, School Library Journal“The story is marked by an eerie sense of unreality, as hallucinations and dreams interweave with very real danger … A spooky tale of family trauma.” —Kirkus Reviews“Sutherland excels at description and scene setting; the graphic horror segments of this novel will definitely please fans of the genre… . a good suggestion for teens fascinated by [Stephen King] but not yet ready to tackle his lengthy tomes.” —Youth Services Book Review
